Shared protos
protos is the shared repository for protobuf definitions intended for
inter-module use: the gRPC API contracts one service exposes and another
consumes. Each proto set is published as a per-language SDK (Go module, Ruby
gem) that consumers depend on directly, so producer and consumer build against
one versioned definition rather than divergent copies.
Private, single-service definitions do not belong here. A service’s own typed configuration schema, for example, stays in the owning repository.
Primary contribution to Theseus: the single source of truth for cross-service API contracts. It keeps the edges of every bounded context explicit and versioned, which is what makes the modular feature test isolation strategy’s contract testing reliable.
